Nowadays you can find a lot of browsers specially created for kids, but none of them for children with autism. But, what is an autistic child? Autism is a disorder of the brain development that begins in children before they are three, and it damages their communication and social interaction, causing a restricted and repetitive behavior.
John LeSieur is a software programmer who embarked on a unique project: to develop a web browser specially designed to autistic children, like his grandson Zachary, to who has dedicated this noble creation. There is where ZAC Browser is born.
On this great browser, you will find five principal sections where children can navigate:
- Aquarium. This is the main window where a child can find beautiful and colored shells and fishes.
- Television. On this window similar to a big theater, a child will be able to watch funny and educational videos and movies.
- Games. On this window a child will find many interactive games like Dora the Explorer, Nana's helper, Matching games, etc.
- Music. On this window there are a lot of games where an autistic child can learn very useful topics about music, like the different sounds among trumpet, maracas, drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, tambourine, etc.
- Stories. Here a child can hear and watch animated and funny stories.
